…The air rushing in my ears, falling faster and faster toward the ground. I guess it is true. Your life does flash before your eyes before you die.

“Darth Nafarius”: A fitting title. After I had not only defeated my master, but rose above his power, the title of Lord seems too small and unfitting. Draakon being the man, who knew true power, believed the same thing. Being awarded the title of Darth seemed the end of my rise to power, and for a time it was…Until the unthinkable happened…

On a late night, I was drinking and walking up and down the cantina, enjoying a night from power. For me, these nights were few and far between. For I had to stay focused on power and destruction, so I wouldn’t loose my edge.  It seems, now, that I shouldn’t have relaxed in public. I should have been on my ship. But…it’s too late for that now.

I was in the cantina and there, across from me I saw Ehlee. I looked over, invited her to my table and bought the girl a drink. Besides, what’s relaxing without a little company?

Ehlee walked over to me and we found a table away from the chaos that was the cantina. “How have the murder contracts been going lately?” She asked me in her normal sarcastic tone.

I smirked “Fine. How has it been being the Empire’s puppet?”

She laughed “Oh…You know how I just love a hand up my ass.”

“Whoa, you should make them buy you a drink first. You have completely skipped foreplay.” We laughed and continued joking.

As the conversation grew, as well as our friendship, it seemed to be a good night but then…things got very…very interesting.

An old friend of mine approached us, Andua’vera. She was tall with tanned skin and pure blood red hair, hanging down caressing the small of her back. She was beautiful woman indeed.  She sat down with us, and we continued our normal conversation. Then she stood up very quickly, as if she had heard something. She walked over to the other side of the wall, and began talking to someone, or some thing. What or whoever it was she was talking too had peaked my interest so I stood, unsheathed my lightsaber, and followed her to the other side.

When I got to where she was standing, she was talking… to a wall.
Flailing her arms she started to shout “Go away, you’re not welcome here!”

I stepped closer to her, leaned in asking if everything was okay.

She seemed to not even notice me behind her.

As the conversation with…whatever she was talking to progressed, I felt an anger and pain in her voice.

“You can’t do this! You can’t take me!” the shakiness in her voice made me think she was fighting for her life.

I started to try and shout over her “What can’t take you?! Take you where? What in the hell are you talking to?”

I grabbed on to her shoulder, trying to get her attention. Just as my hand touched her shoulder, her head spun around. Only now…she wasn’t herself.

Her eyes had turned pure black with dark bruising around them, with darker veins snaking around the bruises and the rest of her face. Her skin had turned as white as parchment with deeper bruising underneath her cheek bones.

She then, to my surprise, grabbed my arm above the wrist, and kicked me in the stomach.

My arm popped out of socket, and then I hit the floor violently.

I began to rise, grunting as the pain from my arm shot down my chest. She walked over, Drew her lightsaber and said in a dark, almost hissing tone. “I am Bestia, Dread Master of the Seeds of Dread…and your friend…is mine…”

I rose to my feet, put my hand out and force pulled my lightsaber to my hand, lighting it.  “A Dread Master…How intriguing…I have awaited the day to end your kind.”

She pointed her lightsaber at me, “Come along then little one. Show me what you can do…”

I Force jumped at her, swinging my lightsaber at her head. She grabbed my hand and tossed me in the direction I came. I tucked, laid both feet on the floor and back flipped, landing, this time, with lightsaber in hand.

“Impressive…”  She snarled

I smirked, “I’m only getting warmed up, Dread Worm.” I lunged at her, being more tactical with my second attempt.

Reaching to grab me once more, I put my foot out, kicked her beneath the jaw and put my lightsaber down into the bicep of her arm.

As the blade cut her she flew backward, screaming in pain. She smashed into the wall with a loud thud and then grunted as her body dropped to the floor.

I spun my lightsaber in my hand above me and stepped into Shiim form with my other arm stretched out daring her to strike again. I than began to stalk and seethe with anger. She followed and we began circling each other, preparing for the biggest battle of both of our lives. I then stopped when I felt my anger reach its peak. Putting my lightsaber at my side, I then prepared for the final blow.

I lunged forward, taking a few steps before falling to my knees and sliding toward her quickly. I than jumped, front flipped and put all of my power into a strike aimed at her head. She blocked my attack and we began our death match.

As the lightsabers rushed through the air, they seemed to crash back into each other quicker than they could be pulled away from one another. Sparks flew past my head; whooshing sounds seemed to bounce off the cantina walls. Fury ignited the battle I had been dreaming of my whole life.

I grew tired of the endless battle and with one phrase I shouted “Let it be finished!” and drew my lightsaber upward in both hands and grazed her neck with the blade. She stood growling and a bit confused on how I had actually struck a blow.

Smugly I spoke “I thought you were a Dread Master…and yet you fight like a Jedi padawn. I bet you feel a bit…weak, don’t you?”

She then dropped her lightsaber and began to conjure what seemed to be an ebony cloud of darkness around her.

I turned around, as quickly as I could to Ehlee “Get the hell out of here, Ehlee! I’ll find you when needed.” She froze for a second and then looked to one of the stairs and rolled towards them. Then she took the steps two at a time and vanished from my sight.

When I turned back around, Andua’vera was standing and waiting to see my eyes. Before I could defend myself, she had taken her lightsaber and dug it into my side.

She smirked as she dragged the lightsaber to the middle of my thigh.

She then ripped the blade from me and force pushed me as hard as she could.

I hit the floor, the air being knocked from my lungs and slid on my back to the other side of the cantina.

I stood as quickly as I could, Knowing that the Dread Master would soon conjure the one thing that even the strongest of sith couldn’t overcome….The power of Fear incarnate.

I reached to my belt with my right hand, pulled out the one shadow shifter from my bag and threw it against the floor at my feet.

Thankfully these Shadow shifters were NightSisters sorcery and a vanishing trick.

I reappeared to the wall above where I was and thankfully out of sight and with a green fog around me.

I then hobbled to the ship deport hanger, hopped on a speeder and flew to the closest and safest pace I could think of…The Zoist Shadow.

I kept my legs moving as much as possible, until I reached the main deck of the ship.

Before my legs could no longer sustain me, I grabbed the Whisper-dust from my bag; (Another NightSisters trick) whispered a message to Ehlee and threw it above me. The dusts formed into a letter and then, with a green flash…vanished. I collapsed to the floor in pain and frustration. I looked up, seeing this part of the ship was empty and realized my escape plans…. were more escape and less planning.

I pulled out my holocom and sent a direct message to Dread Watch “Darth Nafarius to Command. I have been attacked by a Dread Master. I am heavily wounded. Do not send out for Medvac.”

I knew that if I were to die here, it would be with honor in my people’s eyes and in the eyes of the Fanged one.

If I died, here and now, I would become in essence with the Dark Side. If they saved me, The Fanged One would seek me out, and not only kill me painfully and slowly, but also condemn me as a slave to his will. That was something worse then death and in fact, it was the only thing I still feared.

I sat up, put my arm over my wound and looked towards the door. As my vision began to blur, I saw what looked like Ehlee. I spoke in confusion “Ehlee...?”

She then came to me and kneeled next to me “Myriss! I got your message. Are you hurt?”

I smirked, trying to fake the pain away “Nah…Just a flesh wound.”

She looked behind me and saw the blood pool get bigger. She grasped my shoulder. “You’re bleeding out. You’re hurt!”

The pain shot through me once more. I said through clenched teeth “OW!" It’s still tender.”

Ehlee quickly pulled her hands away “Sorry. Heat of the moment…” She stood up and pulled out her holocom and started speaking with command, trying anything she could to save my life.

As my vision worsened, so did my ability to function. It was close now. True death and freedom waited. Just before I blacked out, I herd over the comm. “I don’t care what Myirss says, get her medvaced out of there at once, and use force if you have to. That’s an order…” And for the first time, I felt death tickle my neck.

I awoke in the medbay. The beeping of the medical system seemed to fade in as if they got closer and closer to me each second and each of the people that I used to call friend outside of the room. Wondering what had happened; I sat up and felt an extreme pain shoot down the left side of my body.

Then everything came flooding back.

A rage greater than anything I ever felt rushed over me and I could feel the displeasure of The Fanged One with me. Turella, Stygus, Zeus and Ehlee came rushing into the room. Ehlee came to my side “Myirss…Are you alright?” she sad in a hushed tone and laying her hand on my left arm.

I snatched my arm away and reached down, grabbing hold of my lightsaber. Thankfully it was still in my holster. The fools should have taken my armor off and taken my weapon…for their own sakes. I rose from lying down, straight to my feet and lit my lightsaber. The red and black glow from it mirrored my anger at the ones I once trusted with my life.

Just when I got myself ready to kill my new found enemies, four shots same from Turella’s gun. Still hazy from being knocked out the last time, I couldn’t repel the shots. I looked down to my stomach, expecting blood. Instead, there were four darts with a light green fluid in them. The room grew hazy once more.

I started to loose control of my arms and legs. Stumbling back down to the bed, I use the last of my strength, to say between quenched teeth “I will kill you all!” The medical droid walked over to me, working to stabilize me and me force push the droid into the wall in from of me, making the droid shatter into metal bits. I then had no strength to fight the medical toxins and passed out. I fell into a fitful sleep where all I could see, was The Fanged One’s eyes searing me with hate and disappointment.

When I awoke from my personal hell The Fanged One had created for me, I was still in the same room. This time the beep from the machines seemed to slightly annoy me. This time, I did not open my eyes. Instead I used the Force to look out into the room and the walls around it.

I could see two Imperial Guardsmen standing at the door across from me, and next to the door was the droid, at least, what remained of it. I thought to myself “I must not have been out for very long. Two guards….that’s it? They think two men with blasters would stop me? Pitiful…”   standing around the edge of the bed, were the one who not only had betrayed me once, but now, twice.  I took the time to use force to look at all my options. Ehlee stood on the left side of me, arms crossed in front of her and with a look of worry and pain across her face. Next to her was Stygus, a Pureblood Sith pacing back and forth, talking with Turella. They seemed to be in some sort of argument, but, being how sedated I still was, I couldn’t quite make out the whole conversation. Next to her on the right side of me was Zeus. He stood in a statuesque sort of way and in his right hand, was my lightsaber.

I looked back over at Ehlee once more. The worm Ehlee…”I’m going to squish her under my boot” I thought. “And wipe the slime of her corpse on the seal of the Dread Watch. I waited for the right moment to strike. I needed to get out of that medbay.

When the moment hit where I knew my move would be perfect, I swung my legs off the bed and grabbed Ehlee by the throat, picking her off the floor. Looking her in the eyes as she choked, I said though quenched teeth “Only the weak find death” and then force pushed her as hard as my powers would let me.

She bounced off the wall, making a dent into the wall, leaving it broken, and fell to the floor unconscious. I then grabbed onto the seam of the doorway and swung forward, leaping in one stride though the hallway. I landed on my feet, in a sort of crouched position, with my left hand behind me. My lightsaber ripped from Zeus’s hand and jumped into my hand. The moment it landed into my hand, I arose and holstered my lightsaber.

Before making my great escape, I looked back at everyone one last time. The bewilderment and shock on all of their face was priceless. I smirked and then took off. I ran as fast as my legs could take me, Jumping and bounding over every object that attempted to get in my way. When I arrive at the elevator, I stepped in, punching the button with the side of my hand.

The chase was on and though that where trying to get me and stop me from my escape, hand the doors of the elevator close right before they could get to me. “A flawless escape” I thought to myself smugly.  The elevator arrived at open at the hanger bay at the bottom of the ship. I rushed to one of the ships. As I passed the departure station, I heard the droid “Stop My Lord, You can not take one of these …” I quickly jumped up, kicked the droid in the head and send it flying toward the wall behind it. I landed to my feet when I heard the droids parts smash against the wall.

I jumped into the closest ships, kicked on the engine. I lifted the ship off of it legs and pushed the throttle forward. As the legs of the ship screeched across the flooring, I realized the ship was not taking off.  I looked around at the buttons and realized the Emergency brake was still on. I kicked it with my foot and the ship took off, pushing me back into my seat.

I flew the ship directly to my Hanger bay. I landed the ship…sort of.  I didn’t take the time to put out the legs, but instead I let the ship crash against the floor, pushed open the door to the ship and jumped out. Letting the ship smash against the hanger wall. I stand up, after landing on my feet as gracefully and realize that all of enemies, who I work so hard to evade, were circled around me…and keeping me from my ship.

As I draw my lightsaber, and prepare for yet another battle. Just as I’m ready to being the blood spill, Ehlee steps out of the crowd. Her face bruised and bleeding, her left leg, having a bit of a limp to it. She looks at me, a sort of pity to it. “Myirss…We can help you. If only you’d let us”.

I felt a snarl come over my face. “I asked for your help. I asked you one thing and you betrayed my one wish. Forgive me if I don’t trust your, so called help. Her head sank in a sort of disappointment. “Then you leave us no choice, Myirss…”

She then pulled a blade from its leather case, pulled it up and behind her shoulder and threw it as hard as she could, directly at my head. I put my hand up, force pushing the blade back towards her and sinking it into her left leg, right above the knee. The blade went all the way though her leg and poked out about two inches out of the back of her leg.

She fell to her right knee, screaming in agony and pain. The rest of the sith then drew their lightsabers. The bounty hunters, the guards and the Intelligence officers drew their blasters, all aimed at me.

I looked at Ehlee with all my hatred “I never meant to leave you a choice. What you’ve done will always haunt your existence.”  I then jumped into the air, tumbled and front flipped over the crowd and landed on the door bay of my ship.

Looking amongst the crowd of my enemies I spoke “Do not attempt to follow me. You will not be able to find me anyways.” I then stepped through the door of my ship, jumped into the captains chair, lifted the ship off the floor and punched the gas before anyone had a chance to think about trying to stop me.

An ultimate farewell, Now that I look back. Maybe I could have stopped and let them talk; it might have saved me from this fate…but…now it is too late.

I went back to where it began, where my life took a turned towards the darkness and the hate…the planet of Dathomir. It had been almost 40 years since I left Dathomir. When I left I was only nineteen…I was a child then…Full of hope…and rage. Now all I feel is the dust of my past…and the many deaths at my hand. It’s not that I regret those deaths…But as I look back now…the death at my hands is over three-hundred-thousand....A fitting throne for my hate.

I arrived at my destination, after a very long and draining journey.  I hit the planets atmosphere and then…the planet attempted to kick me out or destroy my ship. I fought the Magic that was around my planet and in doing so…had only one option to get my ship on the planets surface…I had to crush and destroy my own ship. I braced myself for the impact and then, to my left, was a large green bolt heading towards my ship. I attempted to evade it, but I was too close to the surface of the plant. Evasive maneuvering would only destroy me fast. I needed time to plan. There had to be something I could do…something…anything…

I realized my only option was to prepare for destruction.

My eyes closed and then…Alarms, Warnings and then from the internal computer of my ship “My Lord…You are approaching a very large mass, prepare for impact in…

Five…

Four…

Three…

Two…

I opened my eyes to see the side of the biggest mountain on the planet, The Black Mountain, heading toward me at very…very fast speeds. I knew it might be the end, and closed my eyes once more.

One…

I awoke at the bottom of the mountain. The mountain seemed shattered and with my impact seemed to diverge into a chain of mountains. I stood, slowly and in a great amount of pain. I looked behind me and there…the remains of my ship. Fire seemed to rise from it like a thousand cantina dancers and the ships three peaces were absolutely destroyed.

I turned back around and there in front of me. Was the one thing I was looking for…The Fanged One. A physical manifestation of the power of the dark side of the Force and one of three immortal beings known as the Ones. As a member of the Ones, the Son possessed a unique shape shifting ability that enabled him to transform into a winged creature that personified his personal connection to the Force. He however did not stand there in this form. He stood, seven feet tall with no hair, pale skin and red markings that dragged from his eyes o the base of his neck. He wore a black robe that seemed to cling to his body and at neck of his robes, flared out, much like wings from his body.

He looked down “Hello Myirss…You’ve sought me out…What in the Hell…would you need from me now?”

I looked upon him with respect, quenching my side with my arm, still in horrible pain. “Great and honorable Dark one…I seek to reclaim my honor. The ones not of our way took an honorable death from me.”

He scowled “I am not impressed. It seems you allied yourself with the weak.”

“Yes, Great One. It Seems I had.” As I said those words, I bowed before him in respect and fear.

His eyes grew a darker red then they were before. They seemed to inflame with the dark side. “You have failed me for the last time, little mortal….”

He then transformed into his other form. A black bat, three sizes bigger then he was before. Her then flew around and picked me up with one of his bat-like talons by the top of my hair.

He then flew to the highest peak of the mountains I had crashed into. He then lifted me up into the hair. I fought and wiggled as much as I could, Trying anything to escape his grasp and then when I could no longer see the mountains he said “You must die…truly die beforeyou can truly live.” right as he said those last words.…His grasp was on me no longer.

I plummeted toward the ground, the world below me getting closer and closer.

Right before I hit the ground, I thought to myself.

“Darth Nafarius…A fitting title…”

And then....blackness.

I then woke…and new my purpose.

I push aside the bolders above me unti lthe sun and air hit my face once more.

Every bone on my right side was indeed broken, wich made it harder to climb from the crater my body created.

And then, it hit me...the perfect way to live.

To re-create the Night Sisters and bring forth our clan into a new age…with new allies.

I spent the next 2,000 years working my way through the sith ranks and above the title of Darth. looking to find the ally that would bring us to true glory.

And then I found them…the Sith Imperium… an ally I could support.

They had the values of what my people taught so long ago, and a leader, proud and true. The Lord Emperor.

I swore my planet, my soul and my power to the Imperium…and also…my followers.

My Children will finally find the power they so deserve, and only because of my Lord Emperor…

and finally, after the fall of the People...and the fall of me, thanks to The Son,
